POSAL is conceptual app design that enables neighbors to take turns recycling hazardous waste while earning rewards. The system also helps homeowners’ associations efficiently monitor recycling activities and maintain a safe, clean residential environment.
Many residential areas struggle with hazardous waste recycling. I personally noticed this issue in my own neighborhood. I never knew where or how to dispose of my acrylic paints, thinners or oils. Homeowners and HOAs often lack an efficient system to organize recycling, leading to inconsistent or unsafe practices. I saw this situation as an opportunity to create a design solution that could facilitate responsible waste management through an app. POSAL addresses this by combining scheduling, rewards, and monitoring to make recycling safer and more engaging.
